David brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the Veresta team, with expertise in civil infrastructure development, infusing an overarching goal of economic development. His mediation and team skills enable him to build bridges of cooperation among disparate organizations.

Accomplishments

As the CEO of Bento Consulting Ltd., the industrial engineering and management firm, David has been directing large-scale civil infrastructure development and construction projects for decades. Over the years, he has helped civil and private organizations in Asia, Africa and Latin America make great strides in economic development. Entrepreneurs – small and medium sized businesses – in countries as varied as El Salvador, Israel, Zaire and Thailand have relied on David to achieve their objectives.

With a solid core in seaport development, computer system implementation and process improvement, David’s commitment to promoting private and public sector self-sufficiency has enabled him to fuse all infrastructure disciplines, with regional planning and support systems that cover all the bases.

While his project contributions are too many to mention, several of David’s recent projects include regional economic development in Ceara, Brazil and consulting to the Paraguayan government on establishing innovation systems – working directly with the Chief Scientist’s Office.

In sharing his knowledge with the next generation of professionals, David is a Senior Lecturer at Safed Academic College and has held other leadership and teaching positions over the years.


Education

David earned his BSc in industrial and management engineering from The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, his MSc in management science from Paris Dauphine University, his postgraduate Diploma of Advanced Studies and PhD in social science development.
