Jonathan Sabag, MPA

VP of Operations, Washington DC

Born in Argentina, Jonathan immigrated to Israel in 1982 and has since made his mark at the very top levels of public administration. Applying his organizational, management and team-building expertise to Veresta’s operations in Washington, DC, and across the Americas, Jonathan successfully navigates complex bureaucracies and delivers creative solutions, paving the way for government agencies, consultants and companies to work seamlessly together on major national projects.

Accomplishments

Jonathan is a strategic advisor to top-ranking officials in Paraguay, guiding governmental organizations, quasi-official agencies and NGOs, as well as the World Bank, the UN Development Group and others to advance mission-critical projects and reforms.

As an Israel Youth Labor Party spokesperson, and as advisor to two ministers, Jonathan was key to election campaigns at many levels – formulating policy, strategy and communication plans and managing budgets, technologies, and Election Day activities.

Jonathan served as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Head of the Planning Directorate in the Israel Defense Forces before working alongside Israel’s Deputy National Security Advisors and the CEO of the Israel Ports Company.

Jonathan has utilized his management know-how in both the business sector as Corporate Secretary at Amerillis Ltd. and in the non-profit world as Assistant to the Chairperson of the Yitzhak Rabin Center. He has been the Director of Israel Affairs at the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, spearheading mission-critical projects and serving as the organization’s liaison for activities in Israel.


Education

Jonathan holds a BA in Government Diplomacy and Strategy from IDC Herzliya and an MA in Administration and Public Policy from Tel Aviv University, graduating with honors.
