MG (Ret.) Meir Klifi, BA

Chief Security Consultant

A leading military and security expert, Meir Klifi brings over 30 years of military and government experience to Veresta’s government relations team. His keen perspective of security as an integrated element in large-scale governmental infrastructure offers clients unique value in master planning.

Accomplishments

During a distinguished long-term Israeli military career, Meir served as a soldier and officer in the Paratroop Brigade. He functioned, from 2006 to 2007, as Deputy Chief of the Ground Forces Command, and during 2003 to 2005, as Head of the Joint Doctrine and Training Division of the General Staff Command.

From 2007 to 2010, Meir served as the Military Secretary to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, where he acted as a special military and security consultant to the Prime Ministers and partner in strategic national security decisions.

At the helm as CEO of Global Group from 2010 to 2012, Meir specialized in national security and strategic planning for government, international organizations and institutional agencies worldwide.


Education

Meir holds a BA in political science from the Haifa University, Israel. He is also a graduate of the Israel National Security College.
